OAKLEAF – A brand-new Walmart Supercenter is preparing to open its doors on Feb. 4 in Oakleaf Plantation.

The $18.5 million store is set to be located at 1000 Omni Drive, at the southwest corner of the First Coast Expressway on the Duval County side of Oakleaf Plantation Parkway at the Clay County line. The store will be 175,360 square feet with 778 parking spots.

In early January, the City of Jacksonville began reviewing proposed site plans, which also included a gas station and car wash on 1.83 acres, with out parcels ranging from .99 to 1.48 acres.  The store will also include a liquor store.

The store announced its management lineup and began conducting interviews for new employees in October. On Dec. 17, the store said its new pharmacy manager would be Larry Coy.
