The New York Giants spoiled the “Tank Bowl” on Sunday, routing the Las Vegas Raiders, 34-10, in a matchup of 2-13 teams both positioned for the No. 1 overall draft pick.
Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart fueled the offense, completing 22 of 30 passes for 207 yards while adding two rushing touchdowns. Wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson delivered a breakout performance with 11 receptions for 113 yards, officially surpassing 1,000 receiving yards for the season. Cornerback Deonte Banks shifted momentum with a thrilling 95-yard kickoff return touchdown in the third quarter.
The decisive victory snapped the Giants’ nine-game losing streak and franchise-record 13-game road skid, lifting them to 3-13 while dropping the Raiders to 2-14 and handing Las Vegas the inside track to the top pick.
Here’s a look at whose stock is up and whose is down after Week 17 of the regular season.
Stock up: LB Brian Burns
It was another big day for Pro Bowl linebacker Brian Burns, who feasted on an undermanned Raiders offensive line. He finished the game with four tackles (one solo, one for a loss), three QB hits, and 1.5 sacks, giving him a career-high 16.5 on the season. Burns has been the one consistent on defense this season and deserves All-Pro consideration.

There weren’t many negatives for the Giants on Sunday, and it’s difficult to say rookie Marcus Mbow was one, but he was the team’s worst pass protector in Week 17 (per PFF), surrendering five of the six pressures allowed. He faced the unenviable task of replacing standout left tackle Andrew Thomas, but should have been able to play at a higher level due to the absence of pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Rookie lumps.
Stock up: QB Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart responded in a big way after an ugly Week 16 contest resulted in a mere 13 net passing yards. With his critics out in force, Dart bounced back with a 255-yard (207 passing, 48 rushing), two-touchdown performance and a victory. He appeared comfortable and poised on Sunday and was allowed to play his game, which yielded much more familiar results.
Stock down: CB Deonte Banks
There is a stark difference between cornerback Deonte Banks and return man Deonte Banks. The former played poorly on Sunday, while the latter made a game-changing play. Cornerback Banks appeared to surrender a touchdown to Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett and was also victimized on at least one of Las Vegas’ three third-down conversions.
Stock up: WR Wan’Dale Robinson
Congratulations are in order for wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, who hauled in a team-leading 11 receptions for 113 yards on Sunday, which helped him eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career. A year removed from heavy criticism over his size and yards per reception average, Robinson now boasts 92 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns at 11.0 yards per catch.
Stock down: CB Rico Payton
There really wasn’t much to pick from when it came to negatives on Sunday, but Rico Payton’s aggressiveness on special teams nearly resulted in a costly penalty. It didn’t, which makes this play rather amusing, all things considered.
