1. Death toll from catastrophic flooding in Texas over the July Fourth weekend surpasses 100

The death toll from catastrophic flooding in Texas over the July Fourth weekend has surpassed 100 as the massive search continues for missing people.

The number of deaths reached 104 on Monday. In hard-hit Kerr County, home to Camp Mystic and several other summer camps, searchers have found the bodies of 84 people, including 28 children, county officials said.

2. A list of resources for Central Texas flood victims and how to help

After catastrophic and deadly flash flooding hit Central Texas over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, aid organizations and people all across the state are looking for ways to help and provide resources for the victims.

Guadalupe County Emergency Management posted a list of resources for people displaced by the flooding or people wanting to help the victims.

3. 2 universities in San Antonio impacted by deadly floods

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and Trinity University have released statements about members of their own communities being identified as victims of the deadly floodwaters that washed through Central Texas over the holiday weekend.

A student at Trinity and a faculty member at UTSA are among the victims.

As recovery efforts continue after devastating floods in Central Texas, companies with roots in the Lone Star State are showing up for their neighbors in need. From donating funds and supplies to sending their own response teams to the tragic scene in Kerrville and other areas, here are the Texas-based companies offering a helping hand.
