The weather almost everywhere else except Phoenix is looking frightful.
There are blizzard conditions in parts of the Northeast and Midwest, and storms in the South. That’s leading to more than 150 delayed flights at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
Nationwide, there are already thousands of delayed flights and several hundred cancellations. Bad weather pretty much everywhere else is the reason why.
A powerful winter storm slammed the Upper Midwest, bringing blizzard conditions and power outages. The Northeast is dealing with strong winds, and a mix of rain, snow and ice. Meanwhile, the South is experiencing severe thunderstorms and a sharp cold front.
A spokesperson with Sky Harbor recommends passengers and those picking up at the airport check their flight status with their airline
The central U.S. is waking up to much colder temperatures compared to this time yesterday. In fact, up to ‼️ 50 degrees ‼️ colder thanks to a very strong cold front crossing through the Gulf Coast and East Coast today. Strong gusty winds will also accompany this front. 🌬️🥶 pic.twitter.com/PzRBuTLoCO
