Mornings back to the 30s in Houston Tuesday & Wednesday

  • December 30, 2025

Tuesday’s Forecast:

Temperatures across much of Houston and surrounding areas are expected to dip to just above freezing Tuesday morning. A line from Huntsville to Livingston are likely to see lows hit 32°. Houston will fall to the mid-30s with Galveston hanging a bit warmer at 43°. Thankfully, the howling winds from Monday are set to calm down, so you can expect a cold morning without that biting wind chill.

Temperatures warm to the mid-50s Tuesday afternoon under sunny skies and light winds. The temperatures are similar to what we experienced Monday but without the overcast skies and howling winds, it will feel much warmer.

Wednesday morning light freeze:

The coldest morning of the week is Wednesday. Houston should fall to 32°. This is the coldest morning on the 10-day forecast. After that, it’s a quick rebound: lows move out of the 30s, climbing to the lower 60s by Friday.

Got plans to ring in the new year outdoors? It will be a cool/chilly night with temperatures in the 50s from 7 p.m. right through midnight. Skies are expected to remain clear and dry all night. Say goodbye to 2025 in style without bundling up heavily or worrying about rain on your evening out.

The warmth is back for the start of the new year. Temperatures are mostly in the 70s through Tuesday of next week. This pattern is expected to stick until the middle of next week, when the next real change may arrive. That’s when a front is forecast to bring a slight drop in temperatures and Houston’s first real shot at rain, likely Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
