The discovery was made along Windmill Lakes Boulevard, southeast of Almeda Genoa and Blackhawk.

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating after possible skeletal remains were discovered Monday afternoon in the Windmill Lakes area of southeast Houston.

Officers responded to a call at 1:15 p.m. of possible human remains found off Windmill Lakes Boulevard, southeast of Almeda Genoa and Blackhawk, according to a Houston Police Department official. The caller told dispatchers they found what appeared to be decomposed body or skeletal remains.

Police did not say if they did find remains at the site.

Air 11 showed detectives walking in a vacant field and stopping to inspect an area near some trees.

The investigation is ongoing.


No additional details about the identity of the possible remains or the circumstances surrounding the death have been released at this time.
