Tuesday’s Injury Report
The Seahawks and 49ers began preparation on Tuesday for their Week 18 showdown that will determine the NFC West title and the NFC’s top seed. With a Saturday game necessitating an early start to the practice week, the Seahawks held a walkthrough Tuesday evening instead of a full practice, meaning the injury report is an estimation of participation had they held a full practice.
One noteworthy new addition to this week’s report is tackle Josh Jones, who was listed as a non-participant due to knee and ankle injuries. Jones has started at left tackle the past two weeks with Charles Cross sidelined by a hamstring injury, and he played all 66 of Seattle’s offensive snaps in Sunday’s win over the Panthers. Cross was also listed as a non-participant Tuesday, the only other Seahawks player with that designation.
Receiver and returner Rashid Shaheed, who left Sunday’s game with a concussion, was listed as limited, as was safety Coby Bryant, who missed Sunday’s game with a knee injury. Every other player on the injury report was a full participant.
For the 49ers, the list on non-participants includes left tackle Trent Williams, who exited Sunday night’s win over the Bears with a hamstring injury, running back Christian McCaffrey (back) and fullback Kyle Juszczyk (knee). Tight end George Kittle, who missed Sunday’s game with an ankle injury, was listed as a limited participant, as were receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee, ankle) and cornerback Upton Stout (concussion).
