Kuriko Darini

OBITUARY

Kuriko Darini lived a life shaped by resilience, artistry, and quiet generosity. Raised in Japan during World War II, she endured the loss of her childhood home, rebuilt, and devoted her life to creating beauty, particularly through her work as a sumi-e artisan, shodo instructor, and stylist. She began a new life in the United States with her husband Bruno Darini, a chief electrician and merchant mariner, and their daughter Bruna Mori Darini, later becoming a devoted grandmother to Lucien Bratton. Calm, thoughtful, and deeply caring, she will be remembered for the grace she brought to everyday life.
