The Oregon Department of Emergency Management’s SPIRE program is boosting emergency response efforts in Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Fire Department received new Holmatro hydraulic vehicle extrication tools to enhance their rescue capabilities.

According to the Oregon Department of Emergency Management, these tools, including hydraulic cutters, spreaders, and rams, are designed for modern vehicle construction. They help firefighters access trapped individuals more quickly and safely. Fire Chief Wayne Painter emphasized the importance of this new equipment. “This support from OEM directly benefits our firefighters and the community we serve,” said Painter.
