SAN ANTONIO – A vacant apartment building erupted into flames on the South West Side, and firefighters rushed to save the nearby buildings.
Around 8:15 p.m. on Monday, firefighters were called to a fire at an apartment block near the corner of Medina Base Road and Five Palms Drive.
When crews arrived, they found the four-unit apartment building partly engulfed in flames, and firefighters rushed to stop the spread.
Crews at the scene said they were able to save two of the units and stop the spread to the neighboring buildings. Nobody was injured, and the property owners were notified.
