A Silver Alert is in effect Wednesday in Los Angeles and Orange counties for a 78-year-old man last seen in Palms.
Luis Racca was last seen at approximately 10:30 a.m. Tuesday near Charnock Road and Veteran Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Racca is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, has gray hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue flannel shirt, dark blue jeans and dark shoes. Authorities believe Racca is traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Racca or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate searches for missing elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
