BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – It’s always a special occasion when one of our employees here at KFYR-TV has a baby, because it doesn’t happen that often. Historically, it happens once every several years. So imagine our surprise when this year, our television family has grown by seven!
A total of eight of our employees in the KFYR newsroom brought seven new lives into the world this year, a number we’ve never experienced here since our station first began in 1953. (This statement can’t be officially confirmed, but the number is so staggering that it’s hard to believe it’s ever been matched before.)
Here’s a chronological peek at every new member of the family we welcomed this year:
- Jan. 19 – Sports Director Luke Gamble and his wife, Madi, had their first son, Grayson Elliott.

- March 11 – Reggie Morse, our executive producer for First News at Six and First News at Ten, and Meteorologist Jacob Morse (who both met and fell in love while working at KFYR, by the way), welcomed their first son, Xavier Ignatius.
