Seriously, we do mean “without delay”: The wheel-y cool spot will feature a special all-ages themed Skate Night each Saturday evening in January, with the music of KPop Demon Hunters in festive focus Jan. 3.
Jan. 10 is the 10th David Bowie Skate Night, in honor of the icon’s birthday, and Bad Bunny’s energetic and emotive balladry will rule the rink Jan. 17.
Pop Punk is the fashionably fierce flavor of the night Jan. 24, and timeless Motown tunes will round out the marvelous month Jan. 31.
Admission is $23/$25, the $8 skate rental is additional, and spectating? That isn’t permitted at nighttime; you’ll want to read up on everything you need to know before rolling for 5110 San Fernando Road.
Some may say roller skating has had a recent renaissance, thanks to a cavalcade of social media videos and “Stranger Things,” while other proponents of sparkly laces and glitter bumpers will emphatically state that rinks have always reigned, or at least over the last several decades.
Whatever your skate-strong feelings, our roller-loving region has a rollicking rink in Glendale, one that offers awesome theme nights and an assortment of excellent events, often earlier in the day.
