JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that left four injured at an apartment complex Christmas Eve in Jacksonville, according to Jacksonville Police Chief Marcus Wood.

Police said the shooting occurred during a Christmas party in the apartment complex’s community room.

Brandon Dandridge, of Talladega, was identified as a suspect and arrested Wednesday. Dandridge was one of the four injured in the incident. He has been charged with second-degree assault with a $20,000 bond.

“We believe this is the first arrest of many,” Wood said in a statement. “Investigators have been working nonstop since this happened, and will continue to work until we’re able to obtain warrants for all the other shooters involved.”

“We take these kinds of crimes seriously, and we investigate them seriously,” Wood added. “We recognize our suspects don’t live in Jacksonville, and maybe not even Calhoun County, but we’ll go wherever we need to find them and put a stop to this kind of activity.”

Anyone with information on this shooting is encouraged to call the Jacksonville Police Department at 256-435-6448 or Alabama Crime Stoppers at 334-215-7867. Crime Stoppers can also be reached online at 215stop.com.
