Linda Diane Zaharuk died peacefully at ARCH Hospice on December 23rd, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.
Survived by her brother Michael Zaharuk (Paula), nephew Stefan Zaharuk (Chantal), niece Sasha Zaharuk (Mathieu Levesque) and niece Sarah Zaharuk. Linda enjoyed the little people in her life and will be remembered by her great nieces and nephew – Sloane, Nora, Léo and Bronwyn. Loved by many cousins in Michigan, New York, Nevada, Connecticut and Ontario. Predeceased by her parents, Leo and Natalie Zaharuk.
Linda was happiest at Basswood Lake where she spent her summers and will be remembered for her love of swimming and scuba diving. In her younger years, those things led her travel throughout Mexico and the Caribbean teaching others how to explore underwater. In her later years her passion turned to flora and fauna and she spent her time at New North Greenhouse. She was a dedicated caregiver to both of her parents, spending the majority of her life by their sides.
As per Linda’s wishes, no funeral will be held.
Her family would like to thank her friends and medical team at the Sault Area Hospital and ARCH for their support during this time.
