A man was critically wounded but walked to a hospital when he was shot during a robbery attempt in the Westlake area of Los Angeles, authorities said Friday.
The shooting occurred at 9:26 p.m. Thursday at Seventh and Witmer streets, a Los Angeles Police department spokesman told City News Service.
The 36-year-old man was walking in the area when he was approached by a male suspect who demanded his property, the officer said.

The victim refused so the suspect shot him and fled on foot, he said.
The victim walked to a nearby hospital where he was in critical but stable condition, the spokesman said.
