DALLAS — Dallas Fire-Rescue crews were called to a fire at a resident’s garage on Friday afternoon, officials say.

According to DFR, the fire was called in at 1:45 p.m. at a home in the 11900 block of Hoblitzelle Drive.

Arriving crews reported the fire coming from a detached garage behind the home, DFR said. Crews began suppressing the fire and had it extinguished by 2:03 p.m.

Most of the fire damage was limited to the garage, officials said, as well as a car parked outside the garage. The home itself, as well as a neighboring hom,e suffered some minor heat damage.

There were reports of sounds of ammunition going off, but DFR says investigators couldn’t confirm the source of the sounds.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
