Cindalee Busby

OBITUARY

Cindalee Busby passed away on October 13, 2025, after battling a number of illnesses. “Cindy,” to all who knew her, lived a full and energetic life. Her youth and teenage years were spent in various locations, as her father, Hank Milhan, was a career Navy man, and the family moved almost every year. Born in Pearl City, HI, on August 27, 1946, she attended school in Hawaii, California, and Colorado. Later, she attended Stanford University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. For several years, she used her degree to work in medical labs in the San Diego area. After college, she met and married Rich Busby on March 29, 1969. They had two sons, Brian and Kevin.

In later years, she returned to school, attending San Diego State University and received a second bachelor’s degree, this time in Interior Design. She then worked for different Interior Design firms in the San Diego area, after which she began her own successful freelance design business called Aesthetic Alternatives.

Always kind and generous, Cindy was a loving and caring wife and mother, and a good friend to many. She worked hard and always succeeded in providing an inviting and welcoming home to all whom she knew. The memories of holidays, birthdays, and other family events and gatherings are cherished by many. She is deeply missed by all, family and friends alike, particularly by husband, Rich, and sons, Brian and Kevin, and grandchildren, Savannah and Sawyer, as well as her brother, Andrew Milhan, and his partner, Paul Lewis. Cindy was predeceased by her parents, Harry Milhan and stepmother Bernie, mother Mary Lee Ingram, sisters Lorrie McIntyre and Lisa Milhan, as well as her brother, Michael Milhan.
