Some new baby names have entered WA’s most popular for 2025, as WA’s Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages reveal the top 10 for boys and girls.
Two clear favourites for both genders were Noah and Isla, with both names also top of the list in 2024.

Oliver and Charlotte also remained popular in 2025, both taking out the second place on the list.
Newcomers to the state’s top ten compared to the year before were the girls’ names Grace, Hazel
and Sophia and William for boys.
The Registry’s list also breaks down trends in regional areas.
“For instance, in 2025 in the Goldfields-Esperance region, the boys names Billy and Levi tied at
number one,” Births Deaths and Marriages Acting Registrar Heath Bennett said.

“John was most popular boys name for 21 consecutive years from 1930 and held a place in the top
10 for 42 years in a row.“
