SAN ANTONIO – Dozens of protesters gathered at the intersection of San Pedro and Basse Road to voice their opposition to the U.S. military strike aimed at capturing Venezuelan leader Maduro.
The protest, organized by the Party for Socialism and Liberation San Antonio, invited the public to join the rally, expressing concerns that the military action could escalate into a full-scale war and potentially violate international law.

Protester Renee Wimbish said, “They can say whatever they want about why they are doing it, and it’s all about oil. They want control of the oil there, that product, and they want control of Latin America.”
Meanwhile, some Venezuelan nationals in the San Antonio area support the strike.
Morelys Viaz, owner of Zulia’s Kitchen Restaurant, said, “Drug trafficking, murder, and prosecution to all the people. We have thousands of political prisoners.”
The protest began at 4 p.m. and highlighted the divided opinions on the U.S. action in Venezuela.
