Wide receiver Rashod Bateman (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers after not practicing all week.
Head Coach John Harbaugh said Bateman came down with the flu this week and tried to practice some on Friday but couldn’t. He was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report but was ruled out on Saturday and did not make the trip for Sunday’s game, which will decide the AFC North champion.
Bateman will end the regular season with 19 catches for 224 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games. His absence on Sunday could mean more reps for DeAndre Hopkins, Devontez Walker, or Tylan Wallace in the wide receiver rotation led by two-time Pro Bowler Zay Flowers. The Ravens also elevated veteran wide receiver Keith Kirkwood from the practice squad Saturday.
Defensive tackle Taven Bryan was not activated from injured reserve and has been downgraded to out. Bryan was placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury on Nov. 23 against the New York Jets. Bryan saw action in five games this season with one tackle and two quarterback hits.
