Windsor 2, De La Salle 2

The Jaguars nearly got revenge for their season-ending playoff loss last year, but the Spartans came away with a dramatic draw thanks to a late goal in an epic battle Saturday night in Windsor.

The Jaguars (5-0-4) trailed 1-0 midway through the second half before surging into the lead with two goals over a five-minute span. Yahir Trejo even the game at 1-1 with 15 minutes left before Parker Sterling put Windsor ahead 2-1 with a goal off a perfect cross from Diego Rosales five minutes later.

However, De La Salle (5-1-1), one of the top programs in Northern California, was able to tie things up with four minutes to go to salvage the draw.

Windsor played De La Salle twice last season, falling 3-1 in a regular-season meeting and 6-3 in the first round of the North Coast Section Division 1 playoffs.

Windsor will face Archie Williams on Thursday night in the Jaguars’ nonleague finale.

Analy 3, Heritage 2

The Tigers stayed unbeaten on the year with a tight victory over the Patriots on Saturday afternoon at home.

Ethan Perez had the go-ahead score with 14 minutes left to help move Analy to 10-0-1 this season.

Mateo Cortez and Caden Lewis also scored goals for the Tigers, who are currently ranked No. 3 in the North Coast Section and No. 29 in the state on MaxPreps.

Analy faces St. Helena at home this coming Saturday before the start of North Bay League Redwood division play the following week.

Cardinal Newman 54, Rancho Cotate 35

The Cardinals dispatched the Cougars in their nonleague finale Saturday afternoon and will begin league play riding an eight-game winning streak.

AJ Cole hit a pair of threes en route to a game-high 17 points, while Legend Haile and Maikali Fahey each added 10 points for Newman (14-2).

Luke Morie scored 10 points and Izayah Rush added nine for Rancho Cotate (8-4).

Newman will open NBL-Oak play against Maria Carrillo on Wednesday, while Rancho will face Tamalpais in Tuesday’s nonleague finale.

San Marin 74, Maria Carrillo 64

The Pumas battled but fell to the Mustangs in their final nonleague game Saturday.

Gabe Jimenez scored 22 points and Erick Guerra added 18 points to pace Maria Carrillo (9-7) offensively.

Jake Beisler scored 23 points to lead San Marin (9-6)

The Pumas will open NBL-Oak play Wednesday at Cardinal Newman.

Drew 64, Sonoma Academy 61

The Coyotes suffered their second loss of the season Saturday, unable to make up enough ground after falling behind by double digits.

Drew (10-5) led 60-45 after three quarters but had its lead down to one before putting the game away late.

Kian Chan (25 points) and Nicholas Ordonez Reyes (24 points) did the majority of the damage offensively for the Dragons.

Marcel Nsizoa Ndi led Sonoma Academy (7-2) with 20 points on four three-pointers, while Teo Foehl and Theo Schneiderman each added 15 points.

Piner 65, Roseland University Prep 36

The Prospectors picked up a lopsided nonleague win Saturday behind a big performance from Camden Brasil.

The senior center led the way with 16 points, seven rebounds and five blocks for Piner (5-9).

The Prospectors will begin NBL-Redwood play Wednesday against Rancho Cotate.

The Jaguars closed out nonleague play by remaining unbeaten as they defeated the Peregrine Falcons on Saturday in their final tuneup before NBL-Oak play.

Ella Redding scored a game-high 28 points with seven rebounds and four assists to lead the way for Windsor (14-0). Britney Luquin added 11 points with seven rebounds and four steals and Karma Gibbons chipped in eight points.

Windsor will open league play Tuesday at Cardinal Newman.

Justin-Siena 67, Ukiah 28

The Braves closed out nonleague play with a runaway win over the Wildcats on Saturday at De La Salle as part of the SI20 Sabrina Ionescu Invitational.

Haven Stone scored 16 points and was named the MVP of the game. Lauren Keller added 12 points and Alyssa Vargas chipped in 10 for Justin-Siena (8-4), which will begin Vine Valley Athletic League play Wednesday as host to American Canyon.

Maria Carrillo 29, Washington-Fremont 24

The Pumas defeated the Huskies in a defensive grinder Saturday afternoon at Clayton Valley Charter in the SI20 Sabrina Ionescu Showcase for their sixth consecutive victory.

Ruby Laughlin was named the Showcase MVP with 13 points and six rebounds. Hanisi Daveta added 10 points with six rebounds and two assists and Dani Silacci chipped in five points and seven rebounds for Maria Carrillo (11-3).

The Pumas will open NBL-Oak play Tuesday as host to Montgomery.
