PHOENIX – A 63-year-old man who went missing in Phoenix over the holiday weekend has been located, authorities announced Tuesday.

As a result, a Silver Alert for Salvador Montenegro was canceled.

Patrol officers found Montenegro and took him to a hospital for unspecified reasons, according to the Phoenix Police Department. His family has been notified.

When the Silver Alert was activated Monday morning, he’d last seen around 1 p.m. Saturday in the area of Seventh Avenue and Baseline Road.

Montenegro is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds, with short gray hair and brown eyes.

He has a medical condition that can cause him to become lost or easily confused, authorities said.
