Police in Fort Worth are investigating a series of vehicle arsons that occurred over the holiday week, leaving multiple residents without transportation and prompting an ongoing search for a suspect.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, several vehicles were intentionally set on fire between December 26 and New Year’s Eve. Authorities believe the incidents are connected and are working alongside the Fort Worth Fire Department to determine who is responsible.

The fires began in the Fox Run Park area on December 26, according to police and residents affected by the incidents. The most recent known vehicle fire occurred around 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.

One victim, Sierra Ramirez, told FOX 4 that her family’s vehicle was set on fire on December 27. Ramirez said another victim in the string of incidents is wheelchair-bound and relies on his vehicle for mobility. She said his car was vandalized before it was set on fire.

Authorities have not identified a suspect, and no arrests have been made. Police have not released a description of the individual believed to be responsible.

Fort Worth officials are urging anyone with information related to the vehicle fires to contact police as the investigation continues.
