An Evening with Jessica Secrest

Food lovers and home chefs are invited to an engaging evening with social-media phenomenon Jessica Secrest, creator of @applesauceandadhd, as she unveils her first cookbook, Of Course It’s Good!

The Coronado Public Library will host Secrest on Tuesday, January 13, at 7 p.m., as she shares the inspiration behind her no-nonsense recipes. This cookbook is packed with fresh, no-frills, and flavor-packed recipes designed for real life (like tater tots, slow cooker favorites, and comfort meals) served with zero culinary snobbery. She’ll be in conversation with Coronado’s own Melissa D’Arabian – The Next Food Network Star winner and author of Ten Dollar Dinners: 140 Recipes and Tips to Elevate Simple, Fresh Meals Any Night of the Week and Supermarket Healthy: Recipes and Know-How for Eating Well Without Spending a Lot. There will be a book-signing opportunity for attendees at this exclusive ticketed event.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Coronado Public Library and requires a paid ticket for entry. The Friends of the Coronado Public Library are dedicated supporters who offer financial assistance for a variety of the Coronado Public Library’s programs that serve readers and learners of all ages. Options include:

$10 admission-only ticket

$31.60 ticket for one person with a copy of Of Course It’s Good

$39.83 ticket for two people sharing one book.

Tickets can be purchased at cplevents.org or https://www.eventbrite.com/e/jessica-secrest-of-course-its-good-tickets-1935593816209. This event will take place at the Coronado Performing Arts Center in partnership with Warwick’s Books. All seating is first-come, first-served.
