BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — We are learning new information after a father and son were brutally attacked on Christmas Day.

The incident unfolded on Castle Hunt Drive, where a confrontation between neighbors escalated into a stabbing and assault.

62-year-old Ruben Licea is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the attack.

Police say he attacked Alexis Tobias and his father with baseball bat. Tobias’ father was also stabbed.

Court records say hours before the attack, the father saw Licea walking by the home and confronted him about attempting stealing his catalytic converter.

Licea had previously been hired by the family to do some yard work.

The father allegedly punched Licea and he left only to return about half an hour later with two friends. Licea told investigators he was upset and intended to “kick his ass,” referring to the victim.

The three men then took off. It’s unclear if any other arrests will be made.
