Emergency response at JBSA-Lackland prompts temporary divert at Wilford Hall medical

SAN ANTONIO — An emergency response unfolded at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Air Force Base on Monday night.

The Wilford Hall emergency department was placed on a temporary divert for a few hours, according to an announcement from the 59th Medical Wing. The emergency department has since returned to normal operations.

Emergency vehicles have cleared the area, but earlier this evening, there was a heavier presence at the base.
