WASHINGTON STATE FOOTBALL has sold slightly fewer season tickets than last year at this point, according to a Washington State spokesperson. As of July 1, WSU has sold 9,889 tickets including season tickets and mini plans. A year ago on July 1, WSU had sold 10,134. But the trend is moving in the right direction when it comes to new Cougar football ticket buyers.

WSU has sold 763 new season tickets as of July 1, exceeding the number of new season tickets sold for all of last season. A year ago, Wazzu had sold 613 new season tickets as of July 1.

There are distinct differences between the home slate of football games this season as compared to last.

The most enticing home game on paper last year was the early season showdown vs. Texas Tech on Sep. 7. Home games against Portland State, San Jose State, Hawaii, Utah State, and Wyoming didn’t move the needle much in ‘24, especially with Utah State and Wyoming in November and the Wyoming game coming on the traditional Apple Cup weekend.

This coming season features home games vs. both UW and Oregon State; both are sure to draw more attention. It will be the first time the Cougars have welcomed the Huskies to Pullman since 2022. It is also the first time the Huskies come to Pullman since the UW played a key role in the Pac-12’s implosion.

The OSU game does fall on Thanksgiving weekend, and it will be the second meeting between the teams in 2025. WSU will be hoping it still draws Cougar fans, and perhaps Beaver fans, on the Saturday after the holiday. The home game vs. Oregon State in 2023 was Wazzu’s last sellout.

It also doesn’t hurt that Wazzu opens this season vs. Idaho rather than Portland State, likely increasing attendance due to the close proximity between the two schools.

San Diego State is another relatively interesting opponent as a future Pac-12 mate, and both Toledo and Louisiana Tech made bowl games last season.

SINGLE-GAME TICKETS are not yet on sale. That happens July 23 at 10 a.m. for all six home games in 2025. However, a presale will begin for CAF members and season ticket holders on July 21 at 10 a.m., giving the dedicated fan a little advance time to lock down single-game tickets.

Right now, Cougar fans can select either season tickets or one of three mini-plans: Click HERE for season tickets, and HERE for the mini-plans. (Once single-game tickets go on sale, they will be found HERE).

The mini-plans feature either two or three-game packages. The three-game pick ’em plan allows fans to choose their own games and varies from $135 to $222, while the two-game pick ’em plan ranges from $94 to $152.

There is another option to get a mini package for the UW and Oregon State games, with those prices ranging from $124-$184.

Season tickets start at $175 and go up to $300, along with a $195 season value plan. All season ticket plans carry an additional $30 facility fee.
