Valor, a Fort Worth-based tech-enabled professional services company providing oil and gas asset management services, announced that its CEO and chief accounting officer have been recognized by the Inspiring Workplaces Group as 2025 Inspiring Leaders.

Joseph DeWoody, co-founder and CEO of Valor, earned recognition in the CEO category, while Adam Powell, Valor’s chief accounting officer, was honored in the Senior Leadership category. The awards recognize leaders whose influence and leadership have shaped their organizations’ growth and culture.

DeWoody co-founded Valor and brings more than 20 years of experience across exploration, production, and investment in oil and gas assets. He holds certifications as a Certified Professional Landman and Certified Mineral Manager and is an active member of YPO.

Powell is a CPA with experience in public accounting and industry finance. His background includes financial statement auditing and helping a high-growth startup establish financial processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure. He holds degrees in finance and accounting and is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, Financial Executives International, and the American Institute of CPAs.
