A police officer and a public service officer with the Dallas Police Department have been terminated from their positions following a January disciplinary hearing.
Police officer James Gordon, with the support division, was terminated for violating departmental policy after police said he failed to complete a required random drug test. Gordon also left his assigned duty station without proper authorization, according to police. Gordon had been employed by the department since August 2014.
Public service officer Casandra Jackson of the south central division was terminated after failing to report to work following an approved leave of absence, police said. Jackson had been with the Department since June 2005.
