The Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 is now a month away and general Olympic excitement is building.
For fans of summer sports, the next milestone will be the Olympic Games LA28 – for which a new phase is nearly here. On 14 January, registration will open for the LA28 ticket draw for access to Olympic events (registration for Paralympic Games tickets will follow at a later time).
LA28 announced the date of this first phase of registration last month, and that is now barely a week away. It will be the first chance for Olympic fans to stake their claims to attend the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
Anyone who hopes to buy tickets must register and create a profile on the LA28 website during the registration period. They will be entered into the ticket draw, which will assign registered users a random time slot to be able to purchase tickets. Importantly, registration does not involve any payment or obligation to purchase.
Single-event tickets will start from $28 USD to improve accessibility and let more people experience LA28 in person. Residents in the host regions of greater Los Angeles and Oklahoma City will also be able to register to be drawn for an early-access time slot for tickets.
Visa will be the Official Way to Pay for ticket sales.
LA28 have already announced venue plans and a detailed schedule of events, so fans can already start planning their trips to attend the Games in two years’ time, beginning their journey toward the next Olympic Games.
The LA28 Olympics will mark the biggest Games ever, featuring 36 sports and 51 disciplines across 49 competition venues in 18 zones throughout the Los Angeles region and Oklahoma City. The Olympic Opening Ceremony will take place on 14 July 2028, and the Closing Ceremony on 30 July 2028.
