After a few generations of clamshell foldables, Motorola is officially teasing the “Razr Fold” this year at CES, with the device launching later this year with stylus support as a major bullet point.
The Motorola Razr series has delivered some increasingly great foldable hardware over the past few years, but it’s also been obvious that the market is coming around on the appeal of book-style foldables, so it’s not a huge surprise that the company is bringing its expertise to a book-style device.
The Motorola “Razr Fold” is exactly that device, and Motorola is showing off a preview at CES 2026.
“Razr Fold” is coming sometime later in 2026 and, at the moment, the bulk of its specs are a mystery. Motorola has confirmed that the device will be in the flagship realm, but the specific processor is unknown. The outer display is 6.6-inches while the inner is 8.1-inches, and the overall form factor looks a lot like Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold and 10 Pro Fold design.

The cameras are confirmed, though, with a trio of 50MP sensors on the back including a 3x telephoto. The camera bump looks pretty thick, but the foldable as a whole seems aptly thin.

Motorola is making the device in “Blackened Blue” and “Lily White” color variants, forgoing the flashy colors found on the standard Razr lineup. But the device will also see some new software features that include “flexible layouts,” “multitasking enhancements,” and “adaptive interfaces,” Motorola says.
The big thing Motorola is confirming early is that the “Razr Ultra” will support its new “Pen Ultra” stylus. Motorola says:
Acting as a natural extension of one’s hand, the new moto pen ultra offers an intelligent stylus
experience that transforms the new motorola razr fold into a versatile canvas and work station. The moto pen ultra was built to keep pace with users’ imagination, crafted specifically for mobile-first designers, artists or productivity-driven individuals. With this tool, consumers can document light-bulb moments with precision, use smart features that transform text or images and write for hours at a time.
Notably, Pen Ultra is a USI stylus, so it should work on plenty of other devices as well. The pen has a USB-C case for charging and storage.
That’s great news, as the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s move away from the classic S Pen was a dealbreaker for many, so it’ll be nice to have an alternative.
There’s no firm release date for the Motorola Razr Ultra besides “2026” so far, but Motorola told members of the press that the device will be sold in the US.
