A new Chicago restaurant has been named one of the most beautiful in America.

In Robb Report’s new list of 21 of the “Most Beautiful New Restaurants in America of 2025,” River North’s Crying Tiger made the cut.

Cited for its “touch of Chicago’s industrial design roots” combined with its “vibrant energy and rich colors,” which are likened to a Southeast Asian night market, Crying Tiger was noted for taking its diners “on a journey through Southeast Asia” using both food and design.

Crying Tiger, which opened in October at 51 W. Hubbard St., is “a celebration of the culinary traditions of Southeast Asia led by Chef Partner and James Beard Finalist Thai Dang,” its website states.

It is a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant and has been listed on several rankings since its opening, at one point dubbed one of the most highly anticipated restaurant openings in Chicago for 2025.

“The menu focuses on the harmony between sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors,” Lettuce Entertain You reported.
