The Boston Celtics will play host to the Denver Nuggets at their home arena of TD Garden this Wednesday (Jan. 7) evening. The contest would normally be one of the biggest games on the Celtics calendar for this month if not the season, but a spate of injuries up and down the Nuggets’ roster may have taken some of the wind out of the sails for this otherwise prime-time tilt.

That of course has some trap game potential, but this version of Boston has demonstrated they know how to win those games, even when they aren’t playing their best. We expect a Celtics win, but Denver has played well even banged up as they are now, and Boston will be down more than just Jayson Tatum for this contest as well.
