One person was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a reported dog bite in the 6600 block of Winkle Court, police say.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police Department officers responded to reports of a possible animal bite on the city’s west side Thursday morning.

Police say the call came in around 10:38 a.m. in the 6600 block of Winkle Court. According to a spokesman for the San Antonio Fire Department, one person was taken to a hospital after being bitten on the leg by a dog.

There is no word yet on the victim’s condition. Authorities have not released additional details, and the incident remains under investigation.
