A man was hospitalized after a fire at a condo in the 3900 block of Buena Vista Street, officials say.

DALLAS — A man was hospitalized after a fire at a three-story condo in Dallas Thursday, officials say. 

Dallas Fire-Rescue crews were called to the 3900 block of Buena Vista Street shortly before 2 p.m. because of a fire at a three-story condo, according to a press release.

Crews found fire on the first floor, extending into the second and eventually found an unresponsive man on the third floor of the building, officials say. 

The man was removed and medics began CPR, according to a press release. The Dallas Fire-Rescue medics restored the man’s pulse on scene, and he was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue. 

No other residents were home at the time of the fire and Dallas Fire-Rescue brought the fire under control by 3:22 p.m., officials say. 

The cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation.
