A 5’5″ Navy veteran shocked fans after squatting Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence at a Neptune Beach bar ahead of the playoffs: “My new PR is Trevor Lawrence.”
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — With the Jaguars just days away from a playoff matchup against the Buffalo Bills, one Jacksonville fan is getting attention for showing support in a different way.
Natasha Lane, a 31-year-old Navy veteran from Texas, posted a video of herself on TikTok squatting Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence at Pete’s Bar in Neptune Beach. The clip has now been viewed more than six million times on TikTok.
Lane said the moment wasn’t planned. She went to the bar knowing Lawrence was attending a private event, but didn’t expect to meet him.
“So I went there and had no expectations of actually meeting him, because he was in a private event, you know, with security,” Lane said.
That changed when Jaguars players began walking outside. Lane said Lawrence came through, and she decided to ask him a question he clearly wasn’t expecting.
“And lo and behold, here comes Trevor Lawrence… and the first thing I said was, ‘Can I squat you?’” she said.
Lawrence, who is listed at 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, hesitated. Lane said he asked if she would drop him. She told him she wouldn’t, and then proved it.
“I was scared in the moment, but also very confident in what I could do,” Lane said.
She completed five reps, all captured on video.
Lane served five and a half years in the Navy and works out every day. Her personal record in the gym is a 180-pound squat.
“My new PR is Trevor Lawrence,” she said.
As the Jaguars get ready for the playoffs, Lane said she’s already thinking about what’s next. On her list: Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who weighs 237 pounds.
