A man in his mid-40s was hit while walking across Cesery Boulevard at the Arlington Expressway, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man died Thursday night after being hit by two cars in Arlington, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened on Cesery Boulevard at the Arlington Expressway overpass at around 6:15 P.M., JSO said.

The man, identified as being in his mid-40s, attempted to cross Cesery Blvd. when he was hit by an Infinity SUV. Shortly after, he was also hit by a Nissan SUV, JSO said.

Both drivers stayed on the scene and are cooperating with investigators.

Witnesses at the scene said that the cars had a green light, which was turning yellow at the time of the crash. The man was wearing dark clothing and did not use a crosswalk, JSO said.

The roadway reopened at around 9:30 p.m.
