2 men convicted in targeted Arlington shooting that left man critically injured

  • January 9, 2026

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two of the three young men arrested for a targeted shooting in Arlington that left a man critically injured were found guilty of attempted murder Wednesday, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

Terance Williams, 22, Marquise Felton, 19, and Devonne Rivers, 19, were charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a 22-year-old man at the Hammock Oak Apartments on Acme Street in December.

Court records showed that Felton pleaded guilty to attempted murder and other charges on Oct. 13, 2025.

According to an arrest report, the 22-year-old man was walking to someone’s car when three men wearing hoodies jumped out of a Black Jeep Wrangler and started shooting at him on Dec. 10, 2025.

The police have identified the gun used in the attack, noting that a significant number of bullets were fired, as at least 44 shell casings were found at the scene.

Two of the guns appeared to have extended magazines.

After the shooting, the suspects left in the Jeep with a North Carolina license plate, which was later identified as stolen.

A license plate reader detected the vehicle on Pearl Street, leading to a police pursuit. The suspects abandoned the Jeep and attempted to run near West 40th Street. They were found shortly after, during a response to a burglary in progress on Springfield Boulevard.

Felton’s sentencing is scheduled for Monday.

The three men face life in prison.
