The New York Yankees’ latest contract offer to outfielder Cody Bellinger in free agency has reportedly been revealed.

According to Brendan Kuty of The Athletic, New York has offered Bellinger a multi-year contract worth “more than $30 million per year.” Meanwhile, Bellinger’s camp has “continued to push for seven years” on a potential deal.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post previously reported that the Yankees have started to look “more seriously” at free-agent shortstop Bo Bichette while negotiating with Bellinger.

Heyman noted that Bellinger remains New York’s top target in free agency, though.

While the amount of years on the contract that the Yankees recently offered Bellinger is unknown, an average annual salary of $30 million would rank No. 4 among all outfielders in 2026 while only trailing Juan Soto, Aaron Judge and Mike Trout (via Spotrac).

New York has already made at least two offers to Bellinger prior to its latest proposal, per Joel Sherman of the New York Post.

The 2019 National League MVP suited up for the Bronx Bombers in 2025 after playing for the Chicago Cubs from 2023-24.

Bellinger’s first year in pinstripes was a success, hitting .272 with 25 doubles and 29 home runs to go along with 98 RBI. He also posted an OPS of .813 while appearing in 152 games.

Bellinger served as a key piece of a Yankees lineup that helped them finish with a 94-68 record, advancing to the American League Division Series before falling to the Toronto Blue Jays in four games.

If talks with Bellinger break down, New York could turn its full attention towards Bichette. The two-time All-Star racked up 18 homers and 44 doubles while compiling a .311/.357/.483 slash line during his 2025 campaign.
