Investigators said EMS performed CPR on the rider at the scene before he was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

SAN ANTONIO — A man in his 20s was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a motorcycle crash early Friday morning on San Antonio’s north side, according to police.

SAPD said the crash happened around 12:45 a.m. along the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 281 N, just past the exit at San Pedro Avenue. Investigators said the rider was traveling at a high rate of speed when he fell from his motorcycle.

A witness called 911 to report the crash, police said. Emergency medical crews performed CPR on the rider at the scene before transporting him to the hospital.

San Antonio police said no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
