Jack (Peter Bergman) came to Victor (Eric Braeden) and offered to trade Matt (Roger Howarth) for Cane’s (Billy Flynn) computer program. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) begged him to agree.

But Victor can’t possibly get past his painful arrogance, even to save the family for whom he supposedly does everything. He told Jack to prove he had Matt (Roger Howarth), and then they would talk.

But Victor is a lying human being. So, of course, he goes back on his word. And thinks it makes him look like the better man. Boy, is Victor wrong.

Send a Woman to do a Man’s Job

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) actually cares about her son and grandson. She even has a sliver of feeling for Sharon (Sharon Case). So to keep Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Noah (Lucas Adams) safe, Nikki ignores Victor’s mumbled commands and takes matters into her own hands. But if Victor will sacrifice Nick’s safety for his own ego, does she really think he wouldn’t do the same to her?

Computer Science

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford, who had this to say about motherhood) is constantly reminding Genoa City that she is the best computer hacker whoever lived. And yet, she seemed surprised when Cane told her he’d built a back door into his AI program that would allow him to turn it against Victor.

If Phyllis is so good, wouldn’t she have seen that when she stole it in the first place? Oh, yeah, she totally did. She’s just…um…letting Cane feel good about himself. Yeah. That’s the ticket.
