An apparent play fight between a tiny deer and massive rhino has been caught on video and dubbed by some media outlets a “David vs. Goliath” confrontation.

The accompanying footage, being widely shared for its G-rated entertainment value, was captured this week at Poland’s Wroclaw Zoo.

28-pound deer takes on nearly 2-ton rhino.

In one corner, a 28-pound Chinese mundzak, or Asian deer. In the other corner, a 1.7-ton rhinoceros.

The zoo explained that the male deer’s female companion was elsewhere healing from a rash, and that he was filled with testosterone:

“He has to discharge energy and show who’s boss – even if the sparring partner weighs 1.7 tons. Who would have thought that such a warrior sleeps in this tiny body?”

Watch them square off, posturing against one another, feigning and charging like the brave combatants they consider themselves to be. The footage is posted below.
