A woman had a slightly terrifying yet hilarious surprise when she filmed a wild kangaroo jumping down the street. It’s very funny, especially knowing that she’s okay. The chaos is real.
“Was trying to film a kangaroo and he decided it was my time,” wrote the TikToker @cheldabelle in the text overlay of the video.
In the TikTok, we see Mr. Kangaroo jumping on the road, minding his own business.
As he gets closer to @cheldabelle, he randomly and rather abruptly changes directions, charging toward her as if he’s ready to start a fight. I guess he didn’t want to be filmed. Honestly, fair enough.
What makes the video even funnier is the melodramatic Radiohead song playing in the background and the switch to slow motion as he begins to hop demonically toward @cheldabelle.

TikTok is loving this hysterical encounter. The funny TikTok has garnered 14.9 million views, 2.9 million likes, over 8000 comments and over 154,000 saves. In the comments, people laughed at the kangaroo’s apparent disdain for being taped and were amused that @cheldabelle didn’t seem to want to move away from her impending doom.
“I swear they have a sense for when they’re being recorded!!!!” exclaimed one TikTok user in a comment.
“HE REALLY SAID WHAT U LOOKING AT U WANNA GO 🤣,” said another person.
‘So you just stood there?” asked someone else.

Other commenters asked @cheldabelle if she was alright after the potentially scary encounter. Luckily, she’s fine and even responded in this funny way to a comment asking if she was okay:
