Manuel Robinson was arrested in League City about two months after investigators said he shot a homeless man in Oklahoma City.

LEAGUE CITY, Texas — A man who’s accused of an Oklahoma shooting was arrested in the Houston area more than a month after the alleged incident.

Manuel Robinson was taken into custody on Monday by the United States Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force with the help of the Galveston County Precinct One Constable’s Office.

Robinson is accused of shooting a homeless man in Oklahoma City on Nov. 1.

Investigators said that after the shooting, Robinson went to League City in an attempt to avoid being caught.

He was found in an apartment and taken into custody without incident, authorities said.

Oklahoma City police said a witness to the shooting said she was walking on a median about 10 feet behind the victim when Robinson approached them and got into an argument. She said she wasn’t sure what was said. The witness told police Robinson then pulled out a gun and fired two shots at the victim.

A responding officer said he saw the woman kneeling next to the victim when he got to the scene. He said the victim told him he was having trouble breathing, so he applied a seal to the wound to the victim’s chest. The officer said he saw Robinson get away by running into a nearby neighborhood.

Investigators didn’t reveal how they tracked Robinson to the Houston area. According to the police report, Robinson could be charged with felony aggravated assault.
