When officers arrived, they found that two separate shootings had occurred involving multiple juvenile males

A juvenile boy died after being shot during a pair of shootings involving several youths in North Hills, and Los Angeles police are asking for the public’s help to identify those responsible.

LAPD patrol officers from the Mission Area responded about 8:13 p.m. Sunday to reports of shots fired near North Sepulveda Boulevard and Parthenia Street, police said. When officers arrived, they found that two separate shootings had occurred involving multiple juvenile males.

One of the juveniles was wounded by gunfire and was taken by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to Northridge Hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.

Detectives from the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division, Valley Section, are investigating. Police said at least one suspect was described only as a Hispanic male. No further details about the suspect or the circumstances of the shootings were immediately available.
