Police search for suspect after deadly METRO shooting
HOUSTON – A man was killed, and another was in critical condition after a shooting at a METRORail stop in Midtown.
Police were called to reports of a shooting along Main Street just after 9 p.m. Friday.
Officers found paramedics working on two men with gunshot wounds.
One victim, found on the sidewalk north of McGowen, died at the scene.
The second victim was found on the METRORail platform south of McGowen near a bicycle.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police were searching for a shooter, and no description had been released.
For hours, police shut down part of the area as investigators collected evidence and searched for clues in the shooting.
Anyone with information was urged to call Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS.
