DanceMotion Performing Company will bring its 25th annual “DancIn’spiration” this month in Phoenix.
Six Arizona dance studios will unite for an evening of dance at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18 at Madison Center for the Arts. The event benefits MORIAH Cooperative, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering children with special needs by providing inclusive social opportunities in a safe, nurturing environment.
The performance will feature DanceMotion Performing Company, Bender Performing Arts All-Stars, Classic Image Dance, Innerlight Dance Center, Michaela’s Dance Magic and Studance Lab in a showcase of jazz, tap, musical theater, lyrical, contemporary and hip-hop.
“DancIn’spiration” brings together more than 250 young dancers who use their love of dance to support a local nonprofit each year.
“We continue to look for ways to support our community through dance,” Kevin Bender, DanceMotion Performing Company executive director, shared in a press release. “‘DancIn’spiration’ allows young dancers to use their passion for this art form for a good cause.”
This marks the fourth consecutive year MORIAH Cooperative has been selected as the event’s beneficiary.
The piece will feature approximately 35 DanceMotion performers and 20 MORIAH participants.
DanceMotion Performing Company is based in North Phoenix and is one of the Valley’s premier youth dance troupes, serving dancers ages 7 to 18 from North Phoenix, Paradise Valley and North Scottsdale.
