Mendoza began his collegiate career at Cal in 2022. He played three years with the Golden Bears before transferring to Indiana for the 2025 season.
Mendoza is enjoying a stellar run with the Hoosiers. He won the Heisman Trophy earlier this year and now has a chance of winning the national title.
Many believe that Mendoza is projected to go as the top pick in this year’s NFL draft, if he decides to go pro.

Fernando Mendoza’s Indiana will face the Miami Hurricanes in the national title game on Jan. 19. The CFP final will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
The Hurricanes beat Ole Miss in the CFP semifinals. Their offense will be led by star quarterback Carson Beck.
