Bagelfelds bakery opened their second location in Tempe this week with hopes of bringing more Brooklyn themed bagels to the East Valley and beyond.
In 2020 owner Charlie Blonkenfeld and his wife Tina opened the location on at 2940 East Thomas Road to share fresh, warm New York style bagels with Phoenix.
On Jan. 6 the bakery announced the opening of the Tempe location at 5154 South Rural Road in Tempe. No signs, no formal advertising, just love and bagels.
“Its very mellow right now, but that’s good because we’re just getting going,” said director of operations Ryan Avery.
Avery says that the bakery will soon expand with more menu items, toppings and bakery offerings like cookies and cakes.
They will also be hiring more bakers in the coming weeks.
Online ordering in Tempe will begin Sunday, Jan. 11 to pickup orders on Tuesday Jan. 13 or both locations are open from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday or until sold out.
